Event planning is a critical component in engaging with your constituents. We can provide general consultation and support, from recommending venues to providing templates and organizational tools that will make your planning efforts efficient. While we cannot promise that we are available to staff your events, we can refer you to vendors or students who are trained in University standards. Contact us to get started on your next event!

Event Planning

Not sure where to begin? We can help you identify the best type of event for your timeframe and budget, determine goals and measures of success, and provide guidance on initiating the planning process. Our team is also versed in University policy and procedures. Contact us to set up a kickoff meeting.

Venue and Vendor Recommendations

Whether your event is for 20 people or 200, we can point you toward the best venue for your group. We can provide both on-campus and off-campus venue suggestions tailored to your needs. We can also recommend vendors -- from caterers to rental companies to photographers -- to ease any event-planning anxiety.

Invitation and Registration

You have an event - but how do you get people to come? We can take some of the complexity out of the invitation and registration process. We offer invite templates, design consultation, and assistance with Marketo, the University's online event registration tool. Visit our Graphics and Visuals and E-Communications pages to learn more about these services. If your event falls within our perimeters, we can also add it to our Arts & Sciences Event Calendar. Contact Anika Lavios to learn more.

Event Look and Decor

From an intimate dinner to a large-scale gala, we can help you brainstorm inventive themes to reflect the appropriate look and feel for your event. We can steer you towards vendors, rental companies, and event production teams that can bring your vision to life. We also have College of Arts & Sciences branded supplies, including pop-up banners and tablecloths, available for check out. Contact Anika Lavios to review inventory and reserve materials.

We can advise on program content and length, provide guidelines for remarks, and suggest protocol for managing speakers. Contact us or visit our Strategic Planning page to learn about our services.

From briefing templates to sample production timelines, we have all your event-planning needs covered. Visit our Event Planning Resources page for more information on the resources we offer.
