Users Group

The Department Web Framework Users Group consists of faculty, staff, and students who manage content on department sites based in the framework.  We also have a few participants who are running their own Drupal installations, but share similar issues and goals. 

We meet quarterly to discuss enhancements to the framework and share strategies for managing content. These meetings are intended to help site owners and content editors make better use of their websites and help us understand how we can improve the service.  They are informal and topics might include:

  • Gathering and generating website content
  • Features that have recently been introduced
  • New features in the works
  • Feedback and features you’d like to see
  • Brainstorming on problems/issues you’ve encountered
  • Open Q&A
  • Tips for writing good web content
  • Tips for making your content accessible to users with disabilities or search engines
