Marketing & Communications Specialist, Natural Sciences Division

Whitney provides strategic and tactical marketing and communications support for the Natural Sciences division; working closely with faculty, unit staff, and Advancement colleagues. She can advise on broad-based communications efforts including social media, newsletters, event invitations and publicity, web content, photography, and videography.

Prior to the UW, Whitney was a writer and editor at Purch – a digital publishing company. In the past, she has worked at Weber State University in Utah and on freelance projects for various publishing and media companies.

She holds a B.S. in Technical Writing and a master’s degree in Professional Communication from Weber State University. In her free time, Whitney enjoys hiking and exploring the great outdoors of the PNW. If it is an exceptionally rainy day in Seattle, you will find her curled up under a blanket reading.
